How Waven works

Friendship between people living the same chapter. Not therapy, not dating, not a service.

What this is

Everyone here picked a chapter they're in right now — a new city, between jobs, a new baby, starting over — and Waven puts you with people in the same one.

That's the whole mechanism. Nobody is anybody's helper, nobody is anybody's project, and there is no role to perform. You're two people who happen to understand the same week.

What’s expected of you

  • ✓Turn up as yourself
Your chapter is the introduction. You never owe anyone the full story.
  • ✓Answer, or don't — but don't vanish mid-plan
Not replying is fine. Saying you're coming and not coming leaves somebody standing somewhere.
  • ✓Keep what people tell you
A chapter someone shared with you is theirs, not yours to repeat.
  • ✓Say when you're out of capacity
“I'm not up to much this week” is a complete sentence, and a kind one.

What isn’t okay

  • ✕Treating it as dating
Attraction happens between adults. Pursuing someone who has said no does not.
  • ✕Selling, recruiting, or promoting
Not your coaching practice, not your MLM, not your cause.
  • ✕Advice dressed as expertise
Share what happened to you. Nobody here is qualified to tell anyone what to do.
  • ✕Screenshots
What's said in a conversation or a circle stays there.

If something goes wrong

Every conversation, every circle post and every profile has a report option, and reporting somebody blocks them at the same time — in both directions, immediately. You never have to explain yourself to us first.

Waven is not a crisis service and cannot be one. If you or someone you're talking to is in danger, the app links out to real helplines from every conversation — please use them, and don't wait for a reply from a stranger.
